SCONE HOMEGROWN + HANDMADE MARKETS staged for 17 March launch
The inaugural Scone Homegrown + Handmade Market to be held at Scone’s popular KERV café continues to generate significant interest in the lead-up to its formal launch on 17 March.
The market offers Upper Hunter Homegrown + Handmade enterprises an avenue to showcase and sell their handcrafted wares and fresh produce. In addition the market will offer a variety of choice for market shoppers by inviting vendors from outside the Upper Hunter region to sell homegrown produce and handcrafted goods not already being offered by local market stallholders.
“The interest has been remarkable - from market goers through to stall holders,” says market organizer Amelia Wilkinson.
Some of the local suppliers to feature at the market include Lincoln Red Beef Direct, Hunter Belle Cheese, Sweet Project, Butterflies Rule, designer children’s wear brands Wee Beasties and Ellie Pants, plus jewelry designers MIKAELABETH, AUDREYANNE, LILIBITS & PIECES and Annette Piper.
The market will also feature Co-Op Trading tables: a ‘HARVEST + HOME COOKING’ (for fresh produce/baked items etc) + a ‘HANDMADE’ Co-Op trading tables (for homemade/handcrafted goods) that will be manned by an EVENT storeroom staff member. Space on these co-op trading tables will be made available for traders of homegrown + handmade produce/goods that may not have sufficient stock to book a market site and or who may not be available to occupy their own stall site.
Tastings, breakfast + free face painting for the children and a great atmosphere is assured - be sure to make a morning of it. You won't miss out on your morning coffee either - with Kerv Cafe operating two coffee machines on market day - one inside as per normal trading and one outside in the market area.
In the lead-up to the market be sure to check out the colourful window display at KERV. The windows feature products from a selection of stallholders who have already registered for the market
